The purpose of this session is to galvanize Infection Preventionists (IPs) towards developing a comprehensive toolkit that include strategies that push Patient Safety forward. The presenter will use examples from personal experience and the literature seeking to illustrate how an Infection Preventionist (IP) is able to re-prioritize and adapt with the needs of the moment. This session will highlight the importance of developing genuine working relationships, outside of the standard e-mail framework. Moreover, the content will demonstrate how an effective IP must operate their emotional and intellectual quotient in order to achieve buy-in from key stakeholders in an Infection Prevention Program.
