Join us for an informative webinar led by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) to learn about the Advanced Leadership Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (AL-CIP). This session will cover eligibility requirements, the portfolio-based application process, and tips for submitting a successful application. The next application cycle will take place July 10, 2025-August 15, 2025.

System Director of Infection Prevention
Ascension Saint Thomas
Gail Fraine is the System Director of Infection Prevention for Ascension Saint Thomas in Nashville, TN. For over 30 years, Gail has led efforts to prevent the spread of healthcare associated infections in a variety of settings using evidence-based guidelines, standardization of practices, and principles of high reliability and patient safety.
Gail is an APIC member, where she has served in various roles, including director on the APIC Board of Directors where she was a member and held leadership roles on many committees. Gail served on the first test development committee for the long-term care certification. She is a member of the Middle Tennessee APIC Chapter.

Jessica Dangles (Moderator)
Executive Director
Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
Jessica Dangles is the Executive Director with the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC). She began her career in certification at the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, working on the nurse licensure examination NCLEX. From there she accepted a position at the American Osteopathic Association, serving as the Certification Director for the American Osteopathic board of Family Physicians, Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics. Prior to working with CBIC, she was the Accreditation Standards Manager at the American College of Surgeons within the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies, a Master of Science in Human Resources, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and her Master of Business Administration. She believes certification is essential to patient safety and public protection and enjoys working with the CBIC board and staff to positively impact infection control practices.
