Joi McMillon, RN, BSN, MBA HA, CRRN, WCC, CJCP, HACP-CMS, CIC has served as a Regional Director of Nursing Services in the post-acute setting as well as an Assistant Hospital Administrator. She holds certifications as a Certified Infection Control Nurse, Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse, Certified Wound Care Nurse, Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional- CMS as well as a Certified Joint Commission Professional. In the 31 years in the nursing field, Mrs. McMillon has led organizations to clinical excellence by using a comprehensive approach to excellence by utilizing her passion for rehabilitation nursing by applying evidence-based practices and continuous improvement strategies. She has successfully developed practical procedures to impact the clinical outcomes in the post-acute environment while providing services to other post-acute settings. Her strategies in the management of Covid-19 have gained recognition by the Department of Health for the programs put in place as a model for post-acute infection control strategies to prevent transmission of Covid-19 in post-acute settings. In 2007 she founded J.A.D. Higher Expectations LLC. She has provided survey preparedness consulting services for CMS surveys and The Joint Commission surveys. Post survey plan of correction assistance. Outbreak management and contact tracing of residents and employees were critical in freeing up the facility staff to concentrate on the continuous demand the pandemic has brought on the nursing facilities. She has assisted with infection surveillance assistance and reporting to the NHSN. She developed and ran 3 Covid-19 vaccination clinics in two major cities to ensure the safety of the community at large. As a certified BLS instructor, she has facilitated the instruction of American Heart Association B.L.S. to health care practitioners in all settings. She is a member of APIC Consulting Services Inc.

During her time as a recruiter, she gained invaluable insights into the evolving healthcare landscape, understanding the critical role of healthcare workers in safeguarding the health and well-being of patients and healthcare institutions.
